The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) has committed to providing fiber internet access to all Department of Education (DepEd) schools and state universities and colleges (SUCs) by 2026. Secretary Henry Aguda confirmed that around 11,000 DepEd schools will be connected in the next rollout phase, replacing satellite-based links with fiber connections.
