At PFOCN, our mission has always gone beyond building a world-class fiber optic network. We believe that true progress is achieved when technology and nature thrive together. Long before 2022, our employees and volunteers had already begun engaging in tree planting and reforestation activities across the Philippines. While official records of these initiatives began in 2022, our environmental commitment runs deeper and stretches further back.

For us, every planted tree is more than just a seedling—it is a symbol of resilience, hope, and a promise to future generations. These initiatives mirror our corporate vision: to build not only the fastest, most affordable network connecting Emerging Asia to the world, but also to nurture the environment that sustains life.

Our Green Journey

2022 – Documenting the Beginning

Though PFOCN had engaged in reforestation prior to this, 2022 marks the first year with documented evidence of our initiatives. From June 1–3, 2022, our employees and volunteers traveled to the breathtaking Cordillera Region to plant hundreds of trees. This marked a milestone—our first recorded large-scale initiative in a region vital for biodiversity and water preservation.

Later that year, on October 1, 2022, we proudly partnered with the Haribon Foundation in Tanay, Rizal. Together, we strengthened our reforestation efforts and emphasized the importance of biodiversity conservation.

2023 – Expanding Our Commitment

On July 22, 2023, 80 dedicated PFOCN employees, led by our Chairman, Mr. Hendrick Huang, gathered in Rizal for a transformative tree planting initiative. This day was more than just an environmental effort—it was a company-wide demonstration of unity, responsibility, and shared values.

2024 – Protecting Future Generations

On June 7, 2024, our volunteers traveled to Zambales, where they cultivated a greener tomorrow by planting trees that will one day shield communities from environmental degradation.

Later in the year, on October 18, 2024, 17 employee volunteers participated in a vital initiative at the La Mesa Watershed Reservation—Metro Manila’s primary water source. By planting trees here, we contributed directly to protecting the lifeline of millions of Filipinos.
